The Real Deal
The actual aircraft (N902AW) was part of a 20 plane order placed by North West in November 1983. It was delivered to North West in December 1985 but was later purchased by America West. The "Team Work Coast to Coast" livery is based on a design by Amy O' Rear and pays tribute to the employees and passengers of America West. This aircraft now has a large US flag painted on top of the Twin Towers in memory of the September 11th victims. |

The Pros
This is one of Gemini's best moulds. It features, correctly shaped wings with a good amount of detail on them, a realistically shaped nose and fairly good landing gear. Gemini has also done a very good job on the livery which does look a bit on the complicated side. They also have every detail (cargo doors, landing lights etc) exactly where it should be. |

The Cons
The "Team Work" titles have been printed in silver (which makes it rather hard to see) whereas, the real plane seems to have these titles painted in grey. Also, the front landing gear could have a little more detail as it looks to much like a stick. And of course, there is the problem that runs in almost all of Gemini's models - the large seam between where the horizontal stabilizers are attached to the fuselage. |

Final Thoughts
| A beautiful model, and a beautiful color scheme that is a must buy model for America West and/or 757 fans. |
